Main exhibitions at Lenvik Museum are housed in the old vicarage from 1885, and focus on the role of religion and the socio-economic differences in traditional society. The presbytery originally consisted of a main building, a storehouse, a visitor’s house and a barn. After becoming a museum in the 1980s, several other buildings have been moved to the museum, and a quay, boathouses and fishermen’s cabins have been built by the shore. Thus, Lenvik Museum has developed an activity-based concept related to coastal culture, with rowing, sailing and fishing as key elements.
Lenvik Museum has a beautiful location on Bjorelvnes, approx. 15 km north of Finnsnes in Senja municipality.
